Sand Air offers good and different opportunities to get acquainted with motor flying for example by taking a trial flying lesson. A trial lesson flying from Rotterdam is a special experience, it gives you the feeling of being a pilot for a while. The trial lesson consists of instruction and a flight without further obligations.
What does this unique flying lesson involve?
We welcome you to our flight school at Rotterdam The Hague Airport. First you will receive a brief theoretical explanation about the aircraft and flying. After this, together with the instructor, you will perform the daily inspection of the aircraft, as is usual before every flight. And then it’s going to happen!
You will sit in the captain’s chair yourself
We ask permission from the controller to start the engine and after this we cab to the runway, here we perform the last checks and then it’s going to happen: You will make your flying lesson with the instructor.
De-briefing
After your trial flying lesson there will be a short de-briefing and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. There are several trial flying lessons possible from 20 minutes to 60 minutes. It is also possible to take two more passengers who would like to join you for your first flying experience. Rotterdam is the departure and arrival point. You can indicate in advance where you want to fly to.
Entry level course
The entry level course is specially designed to find out if becoming a pilot is really a dream for you. The course consists of 3 full classes including instructor, landings and logbook.

How does this unique flying lesson work?
After determining a route with the pilot, you will take to the air to experience everything in reality. Of course, above the location we make an extra circle so you can see everything well and to take a few more nice pictures. All in all, a very special experience.
Afterglow
After the sightseeing flight Rotterdam, you have the opportunity to enjoy some afterglow at Fletcher Hotel- Wings Rotterdam located right next to the terminal or at Brasserie Spazio overlooking the runway of Rotterdam The Hague Airport.

Composing flying lessons
You can expand your flying lesson with a number of options, such as longer flight time and type of aircraft.

Passengers
Maximum weight: 240kg, distributed among up to three people.
Number of people: 3 passengers
Bookings
Bookings can be made at your convenience if available by sending an email to operations@sandair.nl. Gift certificates will be sent by return mail upon full payment. Payments must be made by bank transfer, cash or debit card prior to the flight. The procedure to follow can be found in the details we will send you.
Given the weather sensitivity, the date and/or time can be moved at the last minute. If a flight cannot take place due to weather conditions, no refunds will be possible, and the flight will be moved to another date by mutual agreement.
